Keep your EU customers. Evidence your emissions.
Your EU importer needs embedded emissions data from you. Using actual figures instead of default values can lower their CBAM costs, which helps you keep the contract.
- Calculated at installation level, as CBAM requires
- Evidence that stands up to review
- Repeatable every reporting period
The importer reports. You supply the data.
- An EU customer wants embedded emissions
- Default values are no longer good enough
- Your carbon data isn't at installation level
- The request will come back every period
- An evidence-readiness review and gap list
- Direct and, where applicable, indirect embedded emissions, calculated
- Allocation to the goods you supply
- A documented basis you can repeat
A footprint is not a CBAM figure.
Right unit, right boundary
CBAM starts at the installation, not the product, so your figure is built the way the rules require.
Proven on real plants
Developed on real industrial production, where the evidence is the hard part, not the arithmetic.
Ready for review
Built to withstand monitoring or independent verification where it applies.
Which obligations apply depends on your goods, the reporting period and your importer's circumstances, so that's established before any work is proposed. Customers, partners and programme details are never named without approval. Relevant experience can be discussed directly under confidentiality.
CBAM vs a product carbon footprint
A PCF covers a unit of product under ISO 14067. CBAM covers goods produced at a specific installation, calculated against defined production processes and allocated to the goods supplied. Your existing footprint is useful input, but it doesn't convert into a CBAM figure.
What's available now
Evidence-readiness reviews and supported emissions calculations are available now. Recurring information management and connected reporting are in development. If you need ongoing support today, it's agreed at scoping.
What you need to start
The request or data template you've received, the goods and the installation that makes them, the production processes, installation energy and fuel data, and any precursor or supplier information. Send what you have and the rest is established with you.
