EU Construction Products Regulation and EN 15804
From January 2026, EPDs are mandatory for construction products sold in the EU under the revised Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The standard is EN 15804+A2.
This means every construction product manufacturer selling into the EU market needs an EPD that complies with EN 15804+A2.
UK Whole-Life Carbon Management Guidance
Published in March 2026, the UK WLC Management guidance makes whole-life carbon assessments mandatory for all HM Treasury-funded projects.
What manufacturers should do now
- Start with your highest-volume products.
- Choose EN 15804+A2, the current harmonised standard.
- Think beyond the EPD: it feeds into a WLCA.
